Systems Engineer - Server and Cloud

 Great opportunity with critical infrastructure organisation - manage on-prem and cloud (Azure) based systems.

 Our client operates a critical piece of infrastructure and has been undergoing a technology transformation program of work.

 The company is based on the city fringe, with easy access to public transport and on-site parking.

 Joining an internal Infrastructure team, complemented by Vendors, this role is responsible for managing and supporting infrastructure services which include Cloud  (Azure) and on -prem (Windows)

 As such, you will manage and administer the fleet of servers and storage, minimizing operational downtime through proactive patching  etc.

You will also contribute to the design and implementation of cloud based services and potentially participate in a  rostered on-call after hours support for P1 incidents. 

This role is a mix of BAU support and projects.

As a Systems (Server)  and Cloud Engineer, your knowledge and experience will include:

• Strong experience in server/compute, storage and cloud configuration;
• Demonstrated technical expertise in the following: Windows Server 2016/2019, Azure, Office 365, SCCM,  Infoblox, SCCM etc
• VMWare Virtualisation
• Dell and EMC blades and SAN storage, Datacore virtualisation
• Windows Defender, Okta, SSO

 Also:

• Strong knowledge of ITIL principles and best practice and its integration with ServiceNow and Change Management 
• Experience in designing and implementing Server, Storage and Cloud (Azure) environments
• Experience in data centre and DR procedures

The role is a  full time contract paying $800PD including Super (negotiable) and is available to start as soon as possible.
