Located in the centre of metropolitan Sydney, you will bring your skills as an experience OKTA Engineer to join an organisation’s authentication and identity security strategy, who are transitioning from an MSP arrangement to inhouse.

Your role will be to take ownership of platform support, while mentoring internal teams so that they can take Level 1 and Level 2 support issues, whilst also improving the architecture of the system and it’s usage You will also provide training, documentation and further refining and working on continuous improvement initiatives.  

 Some of your duties will cover: 

  • Maintain platform support and solution knowledge bases.  
  • Proactively manage platform patches and upgrades. Support build, testing, and deployments for major releases.  
  • Participation in ITSM processes such as Incident, problem and change management in accordance with processes and service levels
  • Work closely with ICT teams, security personnel, and project teams to ensure the effective use of Okta.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation on Okta configurations, integrations, and procedures.
  • Ensure the Okta platform adheres to government security standards and compliance requirements. Conduct regular security assessments and audits and implement necessary security measures and policies.
  • Implement, configure, and maintain the Okta platform to support IAM processes, including user authentication, authorisation, single sign-on (SSO), and multi-factor authentication (MFA).

   

You will bring to the role:

  • Okta Certified Administrator certification or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of IAM principles, technologies, and best practices.

           Essential experience in OKTA IaC via Terraform.

  • Solid experience working as both an OKTA Architect and Engineer
  • Experience with integrating various systems with Okta using APIs and SDKs.
  • Knowledge of security protocols, authentication, and authorisation methods.
  • Familiarity with public sector IT security standards and compliance requirements, including the Essential 8.
